Who has the valuation right – selling stock market investors or buying private capital?
2022 has been an “Annus Horribilis” for global technology stocks. At the same time, many tech companies are showing solid underlying business performance. We have seen a wave of public-to-private transactions with an average takeover premium of more than 60 percent.
Private Equity investors Erik Hagen (Viking Venture), Ola Nordquist (Permira), and private investor Ole Petter Kjerkreit discussed the current market pricing at the Norwegian part of the conference. The panel discussion was moderated by partner Tarjei Mellin-Olsen from our Investment Banking division.

Piggybacking on global tech giants
In Stockholm, we focused on partnership strategy in the technology space and how thriving ecosystem benefits all parties involved. Companies involved with tech giants’ ecosystems can accelerate growth and value-add by piggybacking on, whereas the giants benefit from improved customer stickiness, lower implementation costs and higher customer inflow.
Therese Treutiger (Microsoft), Maria Wiss (Google), and Dan Bjurman (Salesforce) participated in the panel, moderated by our Head of Equity Research Sweden, Stefan Wård and Head of TMT Investment Banking, Anton Wester.
